Student visa
Student visa is required in case you wish to enter Russia to study in any Russian University or attend short term courses. Student visa can be valid for up to 90 days and can be issued for single or double entry. Dates of validity of the visa will correspond with the dates mentioned on your letter of invitation issued by a Russian Federal Migration Service agency or a telex from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Required documents:

Current passport which should be valid for a minimum of six months after visa's expiration date and has at least 2 blank pages which do not need to be consecutive.

Visa application form filled in and printed out from the following website: visa.kdmid.ru. Kindly ensure that the dates of your entry and exit, as entered in the application form, match with or fall within the period specified in the supporting documents.

One recent passport size photo glued to the indicated space on the application form.

Invitation issued by a Russian Federal Migration Service agency or a telex from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

When applying for student visa you must additionally submit HIV Test (AIDS) Certificate taken within the last three months. HIV Test (AIDS) Certificate should still be valid for 15- 30 days on the day of your application.

Medical insurance at least 30 000 € in coverage valid for Russia.
Citizens of EU-countries (adopted the Russia–EU Visa facilitation agreement) and USA submit one of following documents: original visa support letter (issued by a local visa office of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs); telex confirmation; a copy (or original) of invitation letter issued by state or private company/organization which are registered in the territory of Russia and have a Taxpayer Identification Number.
