Holders of diplomatic and service passports
Holders of Diplomatic passports of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden do not require a visa to the Russian Federation for up to 90 days. In all other cases visa is required except of where visa free regime applies. Service passports holders require a visa to travel to Russian Federation except of where visa free regime applies.
VISA FREE REGIME
Holders of Diplomatic and Service passports of the following countries enjoy visa free regime hence do not require a visa to enter the Russian Federation:
- Albania (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- Argentina (up to 90 days) – all passports holders
- Brunei (up to 14 days) - Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- Cambodia (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Columbia (up to 90 days in 180 days period)
- Costa Rica (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Cuba (up to 30 days) – all passports holders
- Dominican Republic (up to 90 days) - Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- Egypt (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Hong Kong (up to 14 days of stay)
- Iceland (up to 90 days)- Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- India (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- North Korea (up to 90 days) - Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- Mali (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Mexico (up to 90 days) - Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- Mongolia (up to 90 days) - Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- Morocco (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only

- Serbia - with biometric passports obtained after April 9th, 2008 can stay in Russia up to 30 days. Diplomatic or Official passport holders without accreditation in Russia can stay up to 90 days.
- South Africa (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic, Official and Service passports holders only
- South Korea (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Switzerland (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Syria (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Thailand (up to 90 days) - Diplomatic and Service passports holders only
- Turkey (up to 60 days) - Service passports holders. In case of consequent trips total amount of days spent in Russia cannot exceed 90 days in a period of 180 days
- Uruguay (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
- Venezuela (up to 90 days) – Diplomatic passports holders only
